Ariz. - The Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants has its first woman Chair, Joan M. Reynolds, M.M.S., P.A.-C. The other members of the ten-member Board chose her as the new chair at their meeting in Scottsdale yesterday. She succeeds Albert Ray Tuttle, P.A.-C.
P.A. Reynolds � who had served as the Board‘s vice-chair - practices at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale where she has been employed since 1986, serving in primary care settings. She earned her Physician Assistant degree at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and her Masters degree in Medical Science through Nova Southeaster University.
Selected to serve as the Board‘s Vice-Chairman was Dr. Peter C. Wagner, D.O. Dr. Wagner, an osteopathic physician, is the medical director of the Gila Crossing Clinic on the Pima Indian Reservation south of Phoenix. And he is a member of the clinical faculty at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale.
The Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants licenses and regulates more than 1500 PAs in the state. The Board is composed of four physician assistants, two allopathic and two osteopathic physicians, and two public members.
