Medical Board Adjudicates Cases Involving 55 Physicians

Scottsdale, Ariz. - The Arizona Medical Board handled 56 cases last week at its two-day meeting. In one case, the Board accepted the license surrendered by David D. Dulaney, M.D., a Phoenix Ophthalmologist.

In another case that had gone to Formal Hearing, the Board accepted the Administrative Law Judge recommendations for Marvin L. Gibbs, M.D., and ended his suspension as time served and placed him on one-year Probation.

The Medical Board took disciplinary action against the licenses of 19 other physicians, approving Decrees of Censure for two them. The rest received Letters of Reprimand. The Board also approved non-disciplinary Advisory Letters for 14 physicians and upheld the Executive Director‘s dismissals of cases against 13 other physicians.

The Board decided to invite three physicians to Formal Interviews at a future meeting to answer questions about their cases.
